Grew up in the Pacific Northwest and got into all this through video — church videos in high school, then promo stuff through college at Washington State University. I studied Digital Technology & Culture, which mostly meant I got to try everything and figured out I did not want to pick one thing.
So I bounced around on purpose for a while. Cut video for the Golden State Warriors. Ran ads for a healthcare group. Spent two years at Columbia Machine doing trade shows, a mobile app, the product catalog, and films shot inside working factories. None of it looks related on paper. It all taught me the same thing.
Which is this: the gap between what a brand is and what it could be almost never closes with a mood board. It closes with the actual work — the photo that makes someone stop, the one line that answers the question they were stuck on, a system tight enough to survive two hundred listings. The craft is the strategy.
These days I'm Creative Director at SellerSlice doing that for Amazon brands, and building Red Sea Company on the side because I can't leave a good idea alone. Mostly I just want to make things that are actually good and not be a jerk about it.
